Ropa Vieja Cubano

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf
    Cuban Bread, cut into 6-7" portions
  • 3 oz.
    Metro Deli® Fire Smoked Ham, Sliced
  • 3 oz.
    Chef's Line® All Natural* Cuban-Inspired Ropa Vieja
  • 1 ea.
    Glenview Farms® Sliced Swiss Cheese
  • 2 T
    Rykoff Sexton® Dijon Mustard
  • 2 T
    Chef's Line Cage-Free Mayo
  • 4-6 ea.
    Metro Deli Hot Dill Pickle Crinkle Cut Chips

Preparation

  1. Heat Ropa Vieja according to package instructions. Slice Metro Deli Ham. 
  2. Heat flat top griddle to medium heat. Slice 6-7" portion of bread in half horizontally. Place Mayo on one side and Dijon Mustard on the other. 
  3. Layer Ham, shredded Ropa Vieja, Swiss Cheese and Hot Dill Pickles onto the bottom slice of bread. Add top slice. 
  4. Place sandwiches onto the oiled surface of heated flat top. Place a cast iron griddle or skillet on top to press. Toast for 1-2 minutes. Remove cast iron and flip. Return cast iron. Toast for another 1-2 minutes. 
  5. Cut in half on diagonal and serve with Metro Deli Chips!
