1-1/2 cAll-purpose flour

1 tsp.Baking powder

3/4 tsp.Salt

1/4 tsp.Baking soda

10 TUnsalted butter, melted

2 cLight brown sugar, packed

2Eggs

2 tsp.Vanilla

3/4 cChocolate chips

3/4 cPecans, chopped
Preparation
Sift flour with mesquite and add baking powder, salt and baking soda; set aside.
Blend butter with sugar, mixing well. Add eggs and vanilla, mixing well. Add flour slowly, blending. Batter will be slightly thick.
Spread batter into a greased and floured 9" x 13" x 2" pan. Sprinkle chocolate chips and pecans on top and bake in a preheated 350°F oven for 25 to 30 minutes. Cool and slice into desired size.
