Mango Lime Habanero Margarita

Ingredients

  • .5 c
    Granulated Sugar
  • .5 c
    Water
  • 1 ea.
    Habanero
  • 1 tsp.
    Monarch® Chili Powder
  • 1 tsp.
    Monarch Kosher Salt
  • .25 1 tsp.
    Fresh Lime, Zest Only
  • 1 c
    Rykoff Sexton® Mango Lime Margarita Mix
  • 3 oz.
    Habanero Syrup (See recipe notes for detailed instructions)
  • 4.5 oz.
    Tequila
  • 1.5 oz.
    Triple Sec
  • 3 oz.
    Rykoff Sexton® Key Lime Juice

Preparation

Habanero Simple Syrup: 

  1. Cut the habanero in half, discard seeds and pith. 
  2. Combine with sugar and water. Cook until sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat, let steep for 15-20 minutes. Strain and set aside. Store under refrigeration.  

Chili-Lime Salt: 

  1. Combine chili powder, lime zest and kosher salt. Place into a glass rimmer. Set aside. 

Put it all Together: 

  1. Wet the rim of a chilled glass with lime juice and roll in chili-lime salt. Fill the glass with Ice and set aside. 
  2. Combine margarita mix, tequila, triple sec and lime Juice in a bar shaker with Ice. Shake to combine.
  3. Pour margarita over ice and serve with a lime wedge.
