Rob Backus is the Food Fanatic Chef for US Foods Anchorage since 2024. He has 25 years of diverse culinary experience; including running a Michelin starred restaurant in the heart of Napa Valley, being part of the banquet crew at the Ritz Carlton, and a being the executive chef of a country club in the nation's heartland. Along with years of being in the back of house he also has four years of sales experience as a territory manager. He holds an Associates degree in culinary arts and hospitality management from Ivy Tech College in Fort Wayne, IN. Away from the kitchen, Rob is an avid hiker and had previously taken a break from his career to complete the entirety of the Appalachian Trail.
