INCREASING THE DIVERSITY OF OUR WORKFORCE AND LEADERS

Through multifaceted recruiting and training efforts, we strive to attract and develop a pipeline of diverse talent to maximize the strength of our teams and provide the highest quality service for our customers every day.
RECRUITING AND SUPPORTING DIVERSE TALENT
To increase the diversity of our candidate pools, we aim to build diverse slates for open roles and partner with third-party organizations focused on helping companies attract diverse candidates. We also provide resources to support the development of future candidates through programs like i.c. stars, which prepares diverse young adults for corporate careers.
TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT
Through training, mentoring, e-learning and on-the-job development, we help all of our associates learn and grow while building a pipeline of diverse talent. Our signature leadership development programs include Gateway to Leadership for new people managers, Aspire to Grow for high-potential leaders, and Aspire to Lead, which is focused on developing a diverse cohort of future leaders.
Women’s Foodservice Forum
US Foods is proud to be a long-standing supporter of the Women’s Foodservice Forum (WFF), which aims to accelerate the advancement of women leaders. We are a partner and sponsor of WFF, contributing annually to the success of this initiative.
- Close to 1,000 US Foods women have participated since 2010
- US Foods Associate Angie Coderre was recognized with the Women's Foodservice Forum's Change Maker Award in 2019, followed by associate Kathryn Garaventa who received the honor in 2020. The Change Maker Award recognizes women who drive strong business results and exemplify inclusive leadership
Learning Partners Program
In 2019, we launched our Learning Partners program to match diverse, high-potential US Foods leaders with senior leaders to facilitate one-on-one, two-way learning and help prepare diverse leaders for greater responsibility.
