Diversity & Inclusion
At US Foods®, we believe that success and innovation are only achieved when all voices and perspectives are heard and valued. We perform at our best by connecting with associates, customers and communities in ways that embrace diversity of all kinds – including, but not limited to, diversity of race, ethnicity, culture, gender identity, age, sex, sexual orientation, disability and experience. As a company, we are committed to fostering an environment that is engaging and inclusive, developing diverse talent at all career levels, and offering products and consultative services to support business growth in diverse communities. These efforts are led by our Chief Human Resources Officer, with strategic oversight from our D&I Executive Leadership Council, composed of US Foods executive leaders responsible for key initiatives.
We perform at our best by connecting with associates, customers and communities in ways that embrace diversity of race, ethnicity, culture, sex, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, age, disability and experience. Our efforts to create positive impact through diversity in all areas of our business are outlined in our US Foods Diversity & Inclusion strategy.
OUR DIVERSITY & INCLUSION Mission and STRATEGY
Diversity & Inclusion is not only a business imperative, it is also the right thing to do for our success. We are committed to fostering an environment that attracts the best talent, and values diversity of experiences and the inclusion of different perspectives.
Our commitment is grounded in three areas of focus:
"US Foods is committed to increasing Diversity & Inclusion in our workplace and within our workforce. We believe a diverse mix of voices leads to better discussions, decisions and outcomes for US Foods and the customers we serve.
We recognize that we have a great deal of work ahead of us on our journey to being a more inclusive workplace, with greater diverse representation at our senior leadership levels.
I am committed to continuing to make progress toward our D&I goals of creating a more inclusive work environment, increasing the diversity of our workforce and leaders, and supporting diverse communities and businesses."
—Alyson Margulies, SVP, Talent Management and Diversity & Inclusion
"US Foods is committed to a culture focused on our associates' growth and our customer satisfaction. Our belief in Diversity & Inclusion, weaved within our enterprise, creates a positive environment where all voices are heard, the beauty of our differences is embraced, and the relationship with the communities and businesses we serve and touch every day are nurtured.
I am proud to represent the purposeful and impactful work we are guiding to create a great place to work."
