Elvis’ Coal Roasted Banana Boat


  • 1 banana
  • 1 jumbo marshmallow
  • 2 ounces quality chocolate baking bar broken into pieces
  • Peanut butter sauce, recipe follows
  • Vanilla ice cream
  • Graham crackers
  • Honey, as needed


Cut banana laterally with peel intact, hit the grill to mark and remove. Place on a large enough piece of foil so that it can be folded to cover the dessert.

Halve 1 jumbo marshmallow and place on banana. Add a few pieces of chocolate. Wrap and place on the grill or submerge into hot coals – until chocolate melts. Open and drizzle with peanut butter sauce, and serve with vanilla ice cream and graham crackers drizzled with honey.

For peanut butter sauce: Melt 1 cup peanut butter down. Add ½ cup heavy cream and ½ cup honey slowly. Let mixture thicken to your preference and cool.
