Cottage Pie
Ingredients
- 1.5 lb. Cattleman’s Selection® Pot Roast
- 1 ea. Monarch® Low Sodium Brown Gravy Mix
- 4 to 6 c Cross Valley Farms® Homestyle Mashed Potatoes
- 3 T Glenview Farms® Unsalted Butter
- 2 c Cross Valley Farms Yellow Onion, small dice
- 1 c Cross Valley Farms Celery, small dice
- 1 tsp. Monarch Dried Thyme
- 1 c Monarch Peas and Carrots
- 1 tsp. Monarch Worcestershire Sauce
PREPARATION
- Remove defrosted pot roast from packaging and cut it into bite-sized pieces.
- Heat mashed potatoes according to package directions.
- Make brown gravy according to package directions, adding in 1 tsp. of dried thyme.
- Sauté onions and celery with Worcestershire sauce.
- Combine peas and carrots, sautéed onions pot roast, adding just enough gravy to keep it moistened.
- Top with warmed mashed potatoes and place into the oven to bake for 20-30 minutes at 350ºF until golden brown and bubbling.
