Chicken Sausage Penne Pasta

Ingredients

  • 1 ea. Chef's Line® All Natural* Smoked Uncured Chicken Sausage
  • 6 oz. Roseli® Penne Rigate Pasta
  • 2 oz. Broccolini Fresh
  • 2 T Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • ½ tsp. Crushed Red Pepper
  • Salt and Pepper, to taste
  • 1 tsp. Garlic, chopped
  • 1 oz. Grated Parmesan Cheese

PREPARATION

  1. Cook penne pasta to al dente. Cool and hold.
  2. Slice chicken sausage on bias, and place into hot sauté pan with extra virgin olive oil.
  3. Once the sausage has browned to a nice color on each side, reduce the heat to medium and add in chopped garlic. Stir for about 2 minutes. (If you would like to deglaze the pan with some pinot grigio wine, this is the time.)
  4. Add penne pasta, broccolini and red pepper flakes. 
  5. Season with salt and pepper to your taste.
  6. Ensure all ingredients are cooked, then empty pan into pasta bowl and garnish with parmesan cheese.
