Chicken Sausage Penne Pasta
Ingredients
- 1 ea. Chef's Line® All Natural* Smoked Uncured Chicken Sausage
- 6 oz. Roseli® Penne Rigate Pasta
- 2 oz. Broccolini Fresh
- 2 T Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- ½ tsp. Crushed Red Pepper
- Salt and Pepper, to taste
- 1 tsp. Garlic, chopped
- 1 oz. Grated Parmesan Cheese
PREPARATION
- Cook penne pasta to al dente. Cool and hold.
- Slice chicken sausage on bias, and place into hot sauté pan with extra virgin olive oil.
- Once the sausage has browned to a nice color on each side, reduce the heat to medium and add in chopped garlic. Stir for about 2 minutes. (If you would like to deglaze the pan with some pinot grigio wine, this is the time.)
- Add penne pasta, broccolini and red pepper flakes.
- Season with salt and pepper to your taste.
- Ensure all ingredients are cooked, then empty pan into pasta bowl and garnish with parmesan cheese.
Serves 1 portion of pasta
