Dave Flitman, Chief Executive Officer

David E. Flitman has served as Chief Executive Officer and a director of US Foods since January 2023.

Prior to joining US Foods, Mr. Flitman was President and Chief Executive Officer of Builders FirstSource, the largest U.S. supplier of building products, prefabricated components, and value-added services with annual revenues of approximately $20 billion, serving from April 2021 to November 2022. Mr. Flitman also served as President and Chief Executive Officer of BMC Stock Holdings, from September 2018 until the merger of the two companies. Prior to BMC, Mr. Flitman served as Executive Vice President of Performance Food Group Company, a family of leading foodservice distributors, and President and Chief Executive Officer of its Performance Foodservice division from January 2015 to September 2018. Prior to Performance Food Group, Mr. Flitman served as Chief Operating Officer and President, USA & Mexico of Univar Corporation, a global chemical distributor, from January 2014 to December 2014 after joining Univar in December 2012 as President USA with additional responsibility for Univar’s Global Supply Chain & Export Services teams. He had also served as Executive Vice President and President, Water and Process Services at Ecolab Inc., the global leader in water, hygiene and energy technologies and services, from November 2011 to September 2012, and previously Senior Executive Vice President of Nalco Holding Company from August 2008 until it was acquired by Ecolab in November 2011. From February 2005 to July 2008, Mr. Flitman served as President of Allegheny Power System, an electric utility that served customers in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Virginia, and Maryland. Prior to this, Mr. Flitman had nearly 20 years in operational, commercial, and global business leadership positions at DuPont, a science and technology-based company.

Mr. Flitman brings a wealth of global business leadership, executive management skills and extensive commercial distribution experience, along with significant expertise in operational excellence, supply chain, and general management with more than 35 years of experience in manufacturing and distribution across multiple industries, including food distribution. Mr. Flitman has a proven track record of driving operational excellence, profitable growth, shareholder returns and a people-centric, high-performing culture. He has a substantial experience as a public company director, including as chair of a compensation committee. Mr. Flitman’s role as our Chief Executive Officer provides valuable information about our operations and brings a management perspective to the deliberations of the Board.

With a son, Josh, serving as a U.S. Army CAV Scout, Dave is passionate about serving members and veterans of the U.S. military forces and other charitable causes.

Dirk Locascio, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

Dirk J. Locascio is Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of US Foods, serving in the role since February 2017. In addition to his CFO responsibilities, Mr. Locascio oversees CHEF’STORE, Shared Business Services, US Foods’ Program Office.

Since joining US Foods in 2009, Mr. Locascio has served in a variety of finance and accounting leadership roles including Senior Vice President, Financial Accounting and Analysis, where he had oversight of US Foods’ finance and accounting functions. Prior to joining US Foods, Mr. Locascio held senior finance roles with United Airlines, a global airline, and Arthur Anderson LLP, a public accounting firm. Mr. Locascio also previously served on the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors of the Northern Illinois Food Bank.

Steve Boggan, Region President – Central

Steve Boggan is Regional President Central of US Foods, serving in the role since 2023. Mr. Boggan is responsible for leading the execution of US Foods’ strategy in the Central region, optimizing operating results and acting as a strategic partner in the development of our plans and programs. 

Mr. Boggan started his career with US Foods in 1983 as a Selector. Since then, he held various roles of increasing responsibility, including Territory Manager, DSM, VP Local Sales, EVP, SVP & General Manager, VP Sales Transformation, Interim Region President, SVP Sales Effectiveness and Deployment and Area President.

Steve Guberman, Executive Vice President, Chief Transformation Officer and Nationally Managed Business

Steve Guberman is the Chief Transformation Officer and Executive Vice President, Nationally Managed Business at US Foods, serving in the former role since May 2023 and the latter role since 2016.  Mr. Guberman is responsible for leading US Foods’ Transformation Office which is focused on developing and deploying US Foods’ long-range plan initiatives.  He also manages US Foods’ largest customers, including those in healthcare, hospitality, as well as regional and national chains. Prior to these roles, Mr. Guberman served as Chief Merchandising Officer, overseeing category management, procurement, and product innovation.  In addition to his CTO and EVP responsibilities, he is the Executive Sponsor for the Employee Resource Group “Those Who Serve”, which is a membership-based resource for our associates who have the distinction of also being veterans in the military.

Mr. Guberman began his career in restaurant operations and brings more than 35 years of hands-on industry experience to the executive team.  He joined US Foods in 1991 and has held a variety of field and corporate leadership roles along with overseeing many of US Foods’ transformational initiatives the last 10 years including the integration of the SGA Food Group acquisition between 2018-2021.

Martha HA, Executive Vice President and General Counsel

Martha Ha is Executive Vice President and General Counsel of US Foods and joined the company in September 2023. Ms. Ha is responsible for the company’s legal, food safety, risk management, corporate secretary, corporate social responsibility and ethics and compliance functions.

Prior to joining US Foods, Ms. Ha served as Vice President, Chief Counsel – Corporate Governance (including Sustainability, Insurance and Aviation), Mergers and Acquisitions, and Cardiovascular Portfolio at Medtronic, a global medical device and technology company. From 2016-2020, Ms. Ha was Chief Privacy Officer at Medtronic and since 2019 served as the co-chair of the Asian Impact at Medtronic Employee Network.

From 2011 to 2016, Ms. Ha was Vice President, Corporate Secretary, and General Counsel – Corporate & International at DaVita Health Care Partners. Prior to that she served as Vice President, Corporate Secretary and Deputy General Counsel at W.W. Grainger, Inc. and several roles of increasing responsibility at Baxter Healthcare Corporation. Earlier in her career, she worked at Arthur Andersen LLP; Bell, Boyd and Lloyd; Coffield Ungaretti & Harris and Shefsky & Froelich, Ltd.

Ms. Ha holds a Juris Doctor from Loyola Chicago School of Law and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Illinois. She is also a Certified Public Accountant.

Bill Hancock, Executive Vice President and Chief Supply Chain Officer

William S. Hancock is Executive Vice President and Chief Supply Chain Officer of US Foods, serving in the role since April 2021. In this role, Mr. Hancock is responsible for all warehousing, transportation, and supply chain strategy and operations, as well as safety, labor relations and continuous improvement.

Mr. Hancock joined US Foods in 2020 from American Tire Distributors, where he served as Senior Vice President of Supply Chain Operations, responsible for the oversight of 115 distribution centers across the United States and a fleet of vehicle accountable for last mile delivery to customers. Prior to joining American Tire Distributors, Mr. Hancock served as the Vice President of Global Supply Chain Operations for Target Corporation where he spent 14 years in various supply chain roles.

Rick Hausman, Region President – Southeast

Region President - Southeast

Rick Hausman is Regional President Southeast of US Foods, serving in the role since 2023. Mr. Hausman is responsible for leading the execution of US Foods’ strategy in the Southeast region, optimizing operating results and acting as a strategic partner in the development of our plans and programs. Prior to this role, Mr. Hausman served as Region President Northeast since 2020 and US Foods’ Area President for Virginia, Maryland and District of Columbia, from 2020 to 2021, responsible for financial results and successful execution of US Foods’ strategy at the area level by leading, managing and influencing all functional teams to optimize performance and drive key results.

Mr. Hausman joined US Foods in 2020 from Windstream, a telephone service company, where he held a range of leadership roles during his 5-year tenure including Executive Vice President of Customer Operations, Senior Vice President of Enterprise Operations and Vice President of Service Delivery.

Rob Koppenhaver, Regional President – Northeast

Rob Koppenhaver is Regional President Northeast of US Foods, serving in the role since 2023. Mr. Koppenhaver is responsible for leading the execution of US Foods’ strategy in the Northeast region, optimizing operating results and acting as a strategic partner in the development of our plans and programs. Prior to this role, Mr. Koppenhaver served as Region President Central since 2023 and Senior Vice President, Field Operations of US Foods since 2019 where he was responsible for the warehousing, shipping, and delivery functions across all markets within the network.

Since joining US Foods in 1992, Mr. Koppenhaver has served in a variety of corporate and field leadership roles, including Region President, Area President, and Vice President of Operations. Mr. Koppenhaver began his career with US Foods as a Product Manager.

Tim Lewis, Regional President - West

Tim Lewis is Regional President West of US Foods, serving in the role since 2021. He is responsible for leading the execution of US Foods’ strategy in the West region, optimizing operating results and active as a strategic partner in the development of our plans and programs. Prior to this role, Mr. Lewis served as Region Vice President of Local Sales for the Northwest Region from 2019 to 2021 where he was responsible for driving sales strategies to deliver sales and margin growth for the region.

Mr. Lewis joined US Foods in 2019 from Food Services of America, where he served as Senior Vice President of Sales in Arizona. Since beginning his foodservice career more than 25 years ago with FSA, Mr. Lewis has held various leadership roles at FSA and US Foods including Vice President of Sales, Regional Sales Manager and District Sales Manager.

David Rickard, Executive Vice President, Strategy and Revenue Management

Dave Rickard is Executive Vice President, Strategy and Revenue Management of US Foods, serving in the role since 2019. In this role, Mr. Rickard is responsible for corporate strategy, including exploring new businesses opportunities. Mr. Rickard also provides financial planning leadership and leads the insights and analytics team. Mr. Rickard and his team optimize profitability across all segments by providing end-to-end oversight of margin and pricing decisions, partnering with Merchandising and Sales. Prior to this role, Mr. Rickard previously served as Executive Vice President, Revenue Management and Strategy from 2015 to 2019.

Prior to joining US Foods in 2015, Mr. Rickard served as Vice President for Uline, a distributor of shipping, packaging, and industrial supplies, from 2014 to 2015, and Partner and Managing Director for The Boston Consulting Group, a global consulting firm, leading their B2B pricing practice, from 1997 to 2014. Over his 17-year tenure at BCG, Mr. Rickard led many strategy, operations management, and sales strategy engagements with Fortune 500 clients.

Dave Poe, Executive Vice President, Chief Merchant

Dave Poe is Executive Vice President, Chief Merchant for US Foods, serving in the role since 2023. Prior to his role as Executive Vice President, Chief Merchant, Poe was Senior Vice President, Chief Merchant. Mr. Poe is responsible for ensuring the US Foods product value proposition exceeds customer expectations while overseeing core merchandising functions such as Category Management, Local Merchandising, and product development, in addition to the US Foods Direct omni-channel business.

Mr. Poe is a seasoned Foodservice veteran with over 25 years of Merchandising experience within Distribution and Non-Commercial. Mr. Poe spent 17 years at US Foods, from 1997 to 2013, developing his Merchandising skills before joining Premier Inc., an American healthcare company, as Vice President of Sourcing, helping lead their Foodservice sourcing efforts. Mr. Poe rejoined US Foods in 2015, and has held several-senior level Merchandising roles since his return, including Vice President and Senior Vice President of Category Management.

John Tonnison, Executive Vice President, Chief Information & Digital Officer

John Tonnison is Executive Vice President, Chief Information & Digital Officer of US Foods, serving in the role since 2021. In this role, Mr. Tonnison is responsible for US Foods’ digital strategy and vision and all information technology functions, including digital commerce, cyber security, business tools and infrastructure.

Mr. Tonnison joined US Foods in 2021, previously serving as Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer at Tech Data Corporation, a Fortune 100 global distributor of business and consumer technologies, from 2010 to 2020, where he was responsible for the company’s global innovation strategy, information digital capabilities and operations. Before his nearly 20-year tenure with Tech Data, Mr. Tonnison was the Vice President and Chief Technology Officer for Technology Solutions Network, a broadcast media production and distribution company, from 1998 to 2001.

In addition to his corporate work, Mr. Tonnison has spent much of his personal time working with several non-profits that forward diversity and inclusion causes, including giving testimony in the Florida legislature.

Randy Taylor, Executive Vice President, Field Operations and Local Sales

Randy Taylor is Executive Vice President, Field Operations and Local Sales of US Foods, serving in the role since October 2023. In this role, Mr. Taylor is responsible for Field Operations and local sales with P&L responsibility for the Broadline business and Stock Yards®. Prior to this role, Mr. Taylor served as Executive Vice President, Field Operations from May 2023 and Regional President Southeast from 2016 to 2023, responsible for leading the execution of US Foods’ strategy in the Southeast region, optimizing operating results and acting as a strategic partner in the development of our plans and programs. Prior to becoming Region President, Mr. Taylor served as Senior Vice President of Operations Deployment of US Foods, from 2015 to 2016, overseeing the design and deployment of the US Foods’ Field Operating Structure across all markets during the US Foods’ initial public offering period.

Mr. Taylor joined US Foods as Vice President of Finance for Manassas, Virginia more than 15 years ago and has held a range of leadership roles within US Foods including Division President, Southern New England.

Mr. Taylor has been a member of the Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants since 2002

David Works, Executive Vice President, Chief Human Resources Officer

David Works is the Executive Vice President, Chief Human Resources Officer of US Foods, serving in the role since 2018. Mr. Works is responsible for guiding all aspects of the Human Resource strategy around organizational development, strategic planning, talent acquisition, employee engagement, leadership development, training and coaching, talent management, employee relations and culture in support of US Foods’ strategy of Great Food. Made Easy. Mr. Works joined US Foods in February 2018.

Prior to joining US Foods, Mr. Works most recently served as Chief Human Resources Officer for the not-for-profit health care organization, Hackensack Meridian Health from 2017 to 2018. Before joining Meridian Health, Mr. Works led the Human Resource organizations at Windstream and Sears Holdings. Mr. Works also served as the president of the Enterprise Business Unit at Windstream. Mr. Works spent the first seven years of his career as an officer in the U.S. Navy’s submarine force. Mr. Works began his post-Navy career as an engineer at Motorola, a global telecommunications company, followed by time at McKinsey & Company, a global consulting firm, and ghSMART, a firm which specializes in talent assessment and leadership development.

Irfan Badibanga, President, CHEF’STORE

Irfan Badibanga is the President of CHEF’STORE of US Foods, serving in the role since 2022. In this role, Mr. Badibanga is responsible for overseeing the operations of all CHEF’STORE locations across the country as well as CHEF’STORE growth plans as part of the US Foods omnichannel strategy.

Prior to joining US Foods in 2022, Mr. Badibanga held Senior Vice President positions at Giant Food Supermarkets, an American supermarket chain, from 2020 to 2022, and Family Dollar Stores, an American variety store chain, from 2018 to 2020, overseeing 8,000 U.S. stores in 44 states during such tenure. Prior to Family Dollar, Mr. Badibanga was Vice President of Operations at Walmart from 2008 to 2017, supervising an $8 billion a year business with 33,000 associates.

Mr. Badibanga began his career as a courtesy clerk bagging groceries in a local supermarket in his hometown of Orlando, Fl, working his way up the ranks through several promotions from department manager to district manager.

Mr. Badibanga is a purpose-driven leader with a passion for positively impacting other people's lives. With his focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion, he was awarded a top 50 multi-cultural leadership impact award in 2021 by the DiversityFirst organization.

Diane Hund, Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer

Diane Hund is Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of US Foods, serving in the role since 2018. In this role, Ms. Hund leads US Foods’ corporate, field and digital marketing activities. This includes all of the elements that enable the US Foods brand promise of “We Help You Make It” to come to life through our various products, programs and brands.

Ms. Hund joined US Foods as VP Corporate Marketing in 2016 from Essendant, a wholesale distribution company, where she led the marketing efforts for the company’s Business and Facility Essentials Division as Vice President, Marketing and Corporate Brand, serving in the role from 2013 to 2015. Ms. Hund has also held marketing leadership roles with a variety of both B2C and B2B companies such as Danaher, Boise Cascade (OfficeMax), Rust-Oleum and Ball Horticultural Company.

Sara Schmidt, Senior Vice President and Chief Information Security Officer

Sara Schmidt is Senior Vice President and Chief Information Security Officer of US Foods, serving in the role since 2022. In this role Ms. Schmidt leads US Foods’ Information and Cyber Security strategy, ensuring the confidentiality, availability and integrity of the organization’s people, processes and technology.

Before joining US Foods in 2022, Ms. Schmidt served as Chief Information Security Officer for Farmers Insurance, a national insurance company, from 2019 to 2022, and various other positions from 2015 to 2019, cultivating a security-minded organization with a focus on risk reduction and data privacy. Ms. Schmidt began her career as a cryptography analyst with the National Security Agency, learning best practices and tactics to be an effective hacker and defender. After eight years with the NSA, she transitioned into the private sector, joining Perrigo Company from 2011 to 2015, before joining Farmers Insurance.
