The product is pasteurized so there is no health risk and no illnesses are associated with consumption of the ice tea concentrates. 02-01-2012 Michael Foods Hard-Cooked Eggs - Expanded Recall Michael Foods Inc. of Minnetonka, Minn. has issued an expanded Class I recall on additional brands of hard-cooked eggs in 10 and 25 pound tubs. The product was widely distributed to the foodservice sector from mid-December 2011 through the end of January 2012. 01-27-2012 Frozen Pancakes Recalled - Missing Allergen Label Pinnacle Food Group LLC of Cherry Hill, NJ has issued a CLASS I recall on Aunt Jemima and Hilltop Hearth Frozen Pancakes. The product was distributed nationwide to foodservice distributors. Affected products have a recommended use-by date of between November 1, 2011 and October 16, 2012. Cases are packed as 12/12-count. The Hilltop Hearth case has a GTIN number of 0758108618152. Aunt Jemima cases have a GTIN of 0019600435877. Recalled product was shipped beginning July 1, 2011 through this week. 01-27-2012 Michael Foods Hard-Cooked Eggs Recalled Michael Foods Inc. of Minnetonka MN has issued a Class I recall on three lots of Papetti’s Brand hard-cooked eggs in 25lb tubs. The product was widely distributed to the foodservice sector during the second week of January. Product testing revealed the possible presence of Listeria. No illnesses have been reported. 12-28-2011 Expanded Class I Recall on Alfalfa Sprouts Green Valley Food Corporation of Dallas TX has expanded their CLASS I recall on “Let Us Grow Healthy Together” Alfalfa Sprouts to include additional harvesting dates. The product was distributed primarily in the Southwest and includes ALL lot numbers. A sample of the product tested positive for the presence of Salmonella. No confirmed illnesses have been reported at this time. Recalled alfalfa sprouts are in a plastic container that measures 4-inch by 4-inch with a lid. The UPC number is 714722228818. 12-24-2011 Sprouts and Spinach Recalled U.S. Foods has been informed by two different regional produce distributors of recalls of fresh alfalfa sprouts and cello-pack spinach. A sample of the sprouts tested positive for salmonella, and a sample of spinach tested positive for E. coli O157:H7. No Illnesses have been reported to date. Spinach brands recalled include Krisp Pak 1O oz bags, Better Brand 10oz.bags, and Avon Heights 4- 2.5 lb bags. 09-30-2011 Grape Tomatoes Class I Recall Andrew Williamson Fresh Produce is recalling one lot of organic grape tomatoes sold under the Limited Edition® and Fresh & Easy labels after one clamshell tested positive for Salmonella in a random sample tested by the United States Department of Agriculture in Michigan. 09-29-2011 Romaine Lettuce Class I Recall At a Glance: True Leaf Farms of Salinas California is issuing a voluntary recall of chopped romaine lettuce for potential of contamination with Listeria monocytogenes. 09-16-2011 Rocky Ford Melons Recalled Updated At a Glance: Press coverage continues regarding the Listeria outbreak associated with Rocky Ford Melons. The CDC as of yesterday has linked a total of 22 persons infected with the outbreak associated strains of Listeria monocytogenes from 7 states. The products were distributed to 17 states. 09-14-2011 Rocky Ford Melons Recalled Today, Food and Drug Administration (FDA) identified Jensen Farms of Colorado as the grower of the Rocky Ford Melons that are the source of the ongoing Listeria outbreak in 17 states. The suspect melons were harvested in August and September and distributed across the United States. Jensen Farms has issued a RECALL on their whole cantaloupes. 08-04-2011 Ground Turkey Recall – Class I Cargill Meat Solutions Corporation, a, is recalling approximately 36 million pounds of ground turkey products that may be contaminated with Salmonella Heidelberg. All recalled product was produced in their Springdale, Ark. Establishment. These products were primarily distributed at the retail level nationwide, although a small amount went to foodservice. 06-23-2011 Simplot Skincredibles Class II Recall J.R. Simplot Food Group has issued a Class II Recall on SKINCREDIBLES® 8 Cut Wedge Potatoes because they contain Wheat, a known food allergen, which was not disclosed on the label. A Class II Recall means there is a remote possibility of illness from consumption of the product. Persons allergic to wheat may suffer an allergic reaction. 05-27-2011 Cucumbers Recalled for Potential Salmonella J&J Produce, Blackwater Produce, and Primo Produce have requested a Class I Recall on fresh whole cucumbers under several different brand names because they have the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella. 04-22-2011 Study Finds Staphylococcus in Raw Meat Last week the Translational Genomics Research Institute (TGen), an Arizona-based non-profit released the findings on a study on 136 meat samples, covering 80 brands, from 26 grocery stores in five states. The study found 47% of the samples contaminated with Staphylococcus aureus, and about half of those bacteria were resistant to some antibiotics. Fresh Express of California is recalling 2,939 cases of 9 oz. Bag Spinach with Product Codes starting with H081 and H082, UPC Code of 7127913204 and Use-by Dates of April 6 and 7 due. This action is taken as a result of Salmonella positive from random sample test. No illnesses have been reported and no other Fresh Express products are included in the recall. 03-19-2011 Lakeside Canned Beets Recalled Lakeside Foods has announced a recall of canned beets because of the possibility of Clostridium botulinum (botulism). No illnesses have been reported. The involved products is 6/10 canned sliced pickled beets with the can codes EFBB229/003034 and EFBB229/003047, including the Lakeside and Monarch labels. 03-07-2011 Hazelnuts Recalled DeFranco and Sons of Los Angeles, CA, is recalling bulk and consumer-packaged in-shell, hazelnut and mixed nut products containing hazelnuts because they may be contaminated with Escherichia coli O157:H7 bacteria (E. coli O157:H7). The recall was initiated after the nut products were linked to 7 illnesses in the states of MI, MN, and WI. To-date, no E. coli 0157:H7 has been detected in the nut products. The product was distributed to retail outlets in 16.3 oz. plastic jars.

02-01-2011 Salmonella Recall Cilantro Sabor Farms, LLC. of Salinas, CA is recalling fresh cilantro because it has the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella. The cilantro was distributed mostly at retail stores in multiple states under the Nature’s Reward, Ocean Mist, Queen Victoria and Tanimura & Antle labels around January 14.
